Myrtle Beach Restaurants
Incredible Myrtle Beach dining options

Like everyone else I know who regularly visits Myrtle Beach, our family absolutely loves the incredible variety of top notch restaurants.  A high number of our favorite choices for Myrtle Beach restaurants, are actually in nearby Murrells Inlet. We have never enjoyed seafood so much as we have here. Murrells Inlet is the "Seafood Capital of South Carolina", and is world famous for their extremely fresh and delectable seafood. Located about 10 miles south of Myrtle Beach, this sleepy little village is a fishing and nature lovers paradise.  Fishermen catch a wonderful variety of fish, and harvest the most flavorful clams, oysters, and crabs. These are freshly served in over 30 village restaurants that dot the creekside amongst live oak trees and summer cottages.

On our first visit to Myrtle Beach years ago, we kept seeing restaurants that included the name Calabash, and we wondered what that meant.  One specialty of Myrtle Beach is the Seafood Buffet Restaurant. Most call themselves "Calabash Style" which simply means small shrimp, fried with a  light batter. When they say buffet, they mean it. We have never seen such variety in a buffet, so make sure you bring your appetite! Most do charge extra for crab legs, so make sure to ask your server about this.

Giant Crab: Our children still mentioned this restaurant a year after our dinner here. Of the ones we have tried, this is our favorite buffet, and we enjoyed dining here so much. (843) 449-1097 North Kings Highway (Restaurant Row) Myrtle Beach, S.C. 29572.
